The annual General Assembly of AMHA

On December 26, the annual General Assembly of the Armenian Mental Health Association (AMHA) took place, during which the Association's activities in 2024 were summarized.

The work of the Association's substructures was presented, with particular attention given to areas such as professional qualification, the development of the Code of Ethics for psychotherapists, support for early-career professionals, and research initiatives.

A detailed report was also presented on the activities implemented within the framework of the EU-funded program “Rights, Services, and Participation: Promoting a Comprehensive Mental Health Framework in Armenia.”

Summarizing the achievements, by the end of 2024, the Armenian Mental Health Association:

  • Has 212 members
  • Created 52 jobs, 44 of which are professional positions
  • Trained 24 trainers to conduct continuing education for all school psychologists in Armenia
  • Provided additional training for 55 primary health care physicians
  • Provided additional training for 50 psychologists
  • Initiated work on 4 clinical guidelines
  • Initiated work on 4 clinical care pathways
  • Developed and approved methodological guidelines for school-based psycho-pedagogical staff
  • Participated in the development of the draft law on Mental Health
  • Completed the development of the Code of Ethics for psychotherapists
  • Translated 20 psychometric questionnaires and launched the process of localization and validation
  • Conducted clinical case discussions and meetings with young professionals
  • In cooperation with partners, organized a Summer Psychotherapy School.
